As Winter approaches, the personal injury attorneys at Cambre & Associates remember that Atlanta has an increasing homeless population. Some people face not having a place to live due to the pandemic, and others as a result of unfortunate circumstances. Glenn Cambre is concerned that the oncoming winter season may be the worst Atlanta has experienced. The firm’s support of the cold weather shelters at TuckerFirst United Methodist Church will aid their efforts to provide beds, dinner and breakfast to those in need in the Tucker area.

Cold Weather Shelters at TuckerFirst UMC operate during the winter months when temperatures are the lowest. When the shelter is open, volunteers serve food to guests and provide accommodations. Since it is the only shelter in the Tucker area, The Dekalb County police work to inform the homeless population when it’s open. During the winter of 2019-2020, it was open for ten nights and provided 78 men and women shelter. In 2021, TuckerFirst UMC’s Cold Weather shelter has been open 3 nights, and needs the communities supports in opening for as many nights as possible as the temperature drops.

Cambre Cares about the homeless population in Tucker and across Atlanta’s metro area. The law firm is thankful to have the communities trust, and be in a position to serve those who are in need. This donation follows a previous donation to Grace Community Church & Food Pantry in Fulton County. The personal injury attorneys at Cambre & Associates are committed to serving Atlanta communities through nonprofit initiative Cambre Cares.
