Cambre & Associates feeds the homeless and those poverty-stricken by the pandemic through charity initiative Cambre Cares. Motivated by the onset of the pandemic, CEO/Founder Glenn Cambre saw how destructive COVID-19 was to the community. He was compelled to launch Cambre Cares in support of the essential workers fighting on the frontlines at the Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton, GA. Now seeing as the COVID-19 virus has grown in variants, we are uncertain when the pandemic will end. As a trusted personal injury law firm in the city of Atlanta—and its surrounding areas, Cambre & Associates will not sit idly by while the community needs help.
The Delta variant has proven how persistent COVID-19 can be at the detriment of Atlanta residents, employees and underserved populations. The homeless especially have experienced great turmoil with very little resources on how to receive a stimulus check (while it is possible) or how to get tested and/or vaccinated. What weighs heavy on the minds of the underserved is where they are getting their next meal, how will they send their children to school and who cares to help.
Cambre Cares about the community it serves and stands in solidarity with those making strides to impact the lives of others. Cambre & Associates learned about Grace Community Fellowship Church and acknowledges their efforts to feed over 200 families a week through their Community Food Pantry. Especially at a time like this, everyone needs a great deal of support. Cambre & Associates wanted to support Grace Community Food Pantry in a way that enhanced their impact.
In August, Cambre & Associates donated $1,000 to Grace Community Food Pantry to provide food, book bags and other school supplies to families and children in the Fulton Industrial Blvd Community in Atlanta. Many of the people supported by Grace Community Fellowship Church are homeless living in tents or abandoned 18-wheel trucks, under bridges, in hotels with children, seniors living alone, and men & women who reside in ex-offender re-entry programs.
“Our food pantry distributes actual groceries. It makes people feel self-sufficient because they can cook ready-to-eat food. Our pantry normally serves 200 or more families per week but Covid-19 has more than doubled the number of families we have served since March 2020,” shares GCFC Administrator, Mrs. Margaret Caldwell.
Grace Community Fellowship Church was founded in the year 2000 by Frederick Caldwell where he serves as Pastor with the support of his wife Mrs. Margaret and their three sons. They serve with a common goal of connecting people to people, to God and to the church.
